About Me


Hi Everyone! Welcome to Pursued, a blog created from my heart and my journey with Jesus.  My name is Cherise, I am a SoCal native who was recently relocated by God in January 2019 to Seattle, WA.  I live here with my amazing husband and our soon to be born little princess, Madison Grace.  I like to describe my life as one full of adventure.  My life is completely devoted to Jesus and with that comes so much adventure and goodness!

I named my blog pursued because it is the word I love to use when describing my relationship with Jesus.  All my life I have seen the constant and relentless pursuit of my heart by Jesus.  I tell people I started to really follow God in 2009 but in saying that I realized that he was pursing me before the day I was born.  

 I will use this space to share my heart and my adventures with Jesus.  He is the pursuer of our hearts and He never leaves us, He never has and He never will!  He loves us more than we can even begin to understand and my hope is that through my writing you would experience Jesus' perfect love!

Lord gently rebuked me this morning.   I was in my time of prayer and he gave me his thoughts on my thoughts and attitude lately.   I wasn’t really having an outward attitude; it was more like when your grumbling and complaining in your mind but you think it’s ok because you aren’t speaking it.   This photo is my journal entry of what God shared with me this morning.   I share this with you because I want to encourage anyone out there who is a mother or is thinking about becoming a mother some day or even for a father.   I typically wouldn’t put such a private entry for public eye, but I felt God say it would encourage others and I believe my assignment from God is to give encouragement to others, no matter what the cost. I am clearing out your heart.   Over the years so much has entered your heart and stayed there.   Not by choice.   You didn’t want it to stay but it did.   The past proved that it should be allowed to stay to protect you.   Your soul thought it was doing you a favor by protecting you – but it was really building walls.   My child, understand all this wall building happens subconsciously.   This is the dangerous part, but there is a way around it.   There is protection from this and the protection is Me .   See, as you have been seeking me, as you have been giving me your heart and allowing me in My Spirit has been at work.   He is the one who clears out your heart.   The more and more you seek my face, call out for help, desire my heart, and surrender yourself to me, the more I can protect you.   You are beginning to hear me whisper to you when walls try to form.   You feel a tug on your heart and you are seeing what...

Maternity Photos + Random Thoughts About Marriage!

We took our maternity photos yesterday and I am IN LOVE with them.  You can see the dress I mentioned in my previous blog .  It was even better than I expected on the day of!! We did kind of a two in one here with our photos.  Yesterday was my second wedding anniversary and when the photographer offered the 23rd as an available date for photos I felt like there would be something special about it.  At first I was hesitant because I wanted to make our anniversary about us and not have the pregnancy or baby take over our marriage but when I prayed I felt something special would take place.  And so it did.  Getting dressed up, doing my hair and make up and unexpectedly receiving a pearl necklace and earrings from my husband as an anniversary gift (worn in photos) made it feel like a wedding day all over again.  Plus I may be biased but I feel like our love for each other and it being our anniver...
